Thomas Aimoku McClellan
Chairman and CEO
Thomas Aimoku McClellan is a successful business man and entrepreneur. He has over forty years experience in starting up and directing successful companies in industries such as telecommunications design, engineering and construction management, government program management and administration, and food product development, manufacturing and sales.
Mr. McClellan is experienced in civil construction project management including earth work, site construction, underground utility construction and road construction. He also has a working knowledge of blueprint reading, project costing, project bidding, pre-project management, construction management and post-construction management.
In recent years, Mr. McClellan has managed and consulted with companies who needed his expertise in underground and aerial telecommunications, electrical and CATV construction and project management.
He managed the development of microwave facilities and customer service department for a small telecommunications utility in the State of Hawaii that services the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL).
Mr. McClellan also developed a business profile for a competitive cable television venture, including research of the market, costing for construction, negotiating for national and international CATV programs.
Harvard C.S. Kim
President and COO
Harvey Kim is responsible for Pelatron's strategic direction and its day-to-day operations. A combat-disabled Vietnam veteran born and raised in Hawaii, Mr. Kim formerly served in a number of technical and administrative positions in Federal and State governments as well as the private sector. Today, Mr. Kim also serves as Pelatron's program manager of the Network-On-The-Move (NOTM formerly called COBRA3 and M2C2) program and has been involved with it since its inception in 2004.
Under Mr. Kim's management, Pelatron's engineering team produced a mobile command and control system that operates while on-the-move that met the extreme demands of the military and out-performed other competing technologies. The vehicle-agnostic system boasts high throughput, redundant secure and unsecure voice, data, and video transmissions that goes beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) and over-the-horizon (OTH) using a variety of military radios and satellite communications. Mr. Kim also oversees all of Pelatron's other contracts, such as the build out and operations of the Integrated Test and Evaluation Center (ITEC) data center, IT support in Iraq, C-17 wash rack, and many others.
Prior to Pelatron, Mr. Kim served as Vice President and COO of Alu Like, a native Hawaiian human services non-profit organization, where he worked closely with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to lead the effort to manufacture their portable Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) kits. Before Alu Like, Mr. Kim served as a manager at the High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), a State agency chartered to develop the high tech industry in Hawaii. At HTDC he helped build the Manoa Innovation Center (MIC), the Maui Research and Technology Center (MRTC), and was the PM on MRTC's telecommunications center. He has also worked as IT manager for the Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate, the largest educational endowment in the Nation, which is chartered to provide educational programs with priority to Native Hawaiians.
While serving in the Air Force, Mr. Kim was a part of the first Space Shuttle support team and witnessed Columbia's historic first launch as an Air Force officer at the Eastern Space and Missile Center in Florida (Cape Kennedy). He was also an avionics technical instructor on inertial navigation, fire control radar, and terrain following radar systems. Mr. Kim received a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Hawaii and bachelor degrees in computer science from Roosevelt University and accounting from Brigham Young University. Mr. Kim was also a part-time university business and technology instructor in graduate and upper-division courses. He served as a neighborhood board member, Governor's School-to-Work commissioner, parent-teacher's association president, youth soccer and basketball coach, and high school volleyball coach. Mr. Kim is a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award for over 25 years of exemplary service to the Boy Scouts of America. He and and his wife, Della, have five children and live in Mililani, Hawaii.
James H. Kahoano
Public Relatrons Director and Principal
Mr. James "Kimo" Kahoano is arguably known as the Voice of Hawaii . He is a well known and respected television and radio personality, a spokesperson for many companies, an actor and singer. Hawaiian and Pacific Island cultures have been integral to his career in entertainment, screen, broadcast radio and television.
Today, Kimo Kahoano co-hosts a live morning radio show, Na Oiwi Olino ("people seeking wisdom"), on KKNE 940 AM weekdays from 6:30am to 9:00am. The morning show is also on a live stream atwww.am940hawaii.com. This show is a forum where people can get up-to-date information on important issues in the Hawaiian community, especially as the community moves toward self-determination to preserve and perpetuate our native culture.
Local TV exposure came with the Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon for 30 years, Hawaii Stars Singing Show for 16 years, and has been a perennial co-host of the World famous Merry Monarch Hula Competition for over 30 years; a tribute to our Hawaiian culture.
Mr. Kahoano has offered exemplary community service, especially to the many non-profit organizations whose mission strives for the betterment of the Hawaii Community. Kimo is a stellar example of more than just a voice talent. He is a reflection of what every celebrity should be.
