Design, Engineering, Manufacturing & AssemblyOne of Pelatron’s strategic goals is to build its business on the design, engineering and manufacturing products for the DoD. Pelatron fills a growing demand for manufacturing and high technology R&D capabilities in the Hawaii and the Pacific Region. Pelatron manufactures Power Distribution Units (PDU), black and red signal entry panel kits that eventually will be placed in Combat Operations Centers.
These centers support the U.S. Marines with rapid and flexible deployment of ground C2 capabilities. Pelatron will leverage its manufacturing and assembly competencies to enter new markets such as robotics manufacturing, testing and evaluation for terrestrial and underwater Unexploded Ordnance detection and removal, etc. Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) expects Pelatron will also play a significant role in its efforts to develop a robotics research laboratory program in Hawaii.
Human Centered DesignPelatron uses an interdisciplinary approach to product design and development based on understanding and meeting human needs. This approach uses a collection of proven practices, including spiral development, rapid prototyping, user persona modeling, scenario development, and user engagement to hone the ultimate user design.
The Human Centered Design methodology ensures a more relevant user centered product concept because the emergent system puts the goals of the user at the center of all activities from discovery through deployment. Interdisciplinary collaboration, spiral development and user engagement fuels the discovery-driven process, thus saves time and money that otherwise would be historically spent executing downstream re-design. |
